We celebrated your first 100 days this past weekend with friends and family. 100 days! How time flies. You decided to sleep through half of it, but you put on a good show by not crying or acting fussy. I think Kili enjoyed the whole thing more than you did though…
Of course, your mother organized quite the spread for the occasion. “Nibbles” turned into a full-on cupcake stand of gold-glittered red velvets, homemade hand-frosted Pocky sticks, salmon bagel bites, and fried chicken on waffles (fried chicken supplied by your gracious godmother). I woke up that morning thinking all we’d have to do is put out a couple of bowls of chips and some cookies. You should count your blessings that your mother is the one in charge of events in our household.
- You’re good at beating yourself up; one swipe across your face and it looks like you just walked out of a schoolyard scuffle.
- I never thought a refrigerator would be more interesting than humans, but that’s what you seem to be saying these days. You’re quiet, fidgety, and always turning your head when we put you in the highchair facing us during meals. We turned your chair to face where we thought you were looking (the fridge) and the moment we did so, you were just all smiles and started talking to it like you two are old pals. So we eat meals now with you facing the fridge.
- You’re in 9-month old clothes for a couple of brands. One of your shirts has “Hunk” written on it, but I maintain they left off a “C”.
