Your big sister Kili got spayed today. I can’t say we wanted to get it done, but we also didn’t want it to not get done. However, the last thing we want is for our lil pooch’s cooch to start calling all the boys to the yard.
So your mom brought Kili to the vet at 9 in the morning and was told to pick her up between 4 and 6. How quiet of a day it was without having to worry about bringing Kili out to pee. It was so peaceful I couldn’t decide whether to pick her up at 4pm so I could beat rush-hour traffic or 6pm so we could get another two hours of babysitting out of the vet. I never would’ve thought to stoop to that level, but so it goes!
The vet ended up giving Kili what they call a “comfy pet collar”, but we all know it’s just a dog neck pillow. I think it looks great on Kili – she looks like she’s ready to go full Lion King (Queen?) on us at any moment.
The little known family secret is I have an obsession with neck pillows (this obsession also extends to chapsticks, watches, sunglasses, and nanoblock Pokemon). It only seemed fitting we finally make use of all the neck pillows I’ve picked up over the years for the purposes of a family portrait. Your mom gets Kili and I get a double chin, but my lap won’t be so empty in another six months!
Here your mom is sporting a Muji micro-bead neck pillow in navy while I am wearing the CABEAU memory foam “Evolution Pillow” in grey.
