When the morning bell rung, the animals rushed to line up for their daily rations from the farmer. The Mouse scurried over as fast as his tiny little feet would carry him. When he reached the line, he was tenth in the queue. Huffing and puffing, the Mouse dusted off his tweed jacket and readjusted his tuft of hair to make sure it was all still in place.
Then, a loud squawking sounded from behind the Mouse. “I’m so hungry! So so hungry! I need food! I haven’t eaten in over eight hours!” cried the Pigeon.
The Mouse looked back and saw the Pigeon, feathers covered in fresh ketchup and greasy mayo. As the farmer began handing some food to the first animal in queue, the Pigeon continued, “Food for me first, Mr. Farmer man! They all don’t look that hungry to me!”
Alt Ending 1:
The farmer looked over and sighed. He then walked over and fed the Pigeon. By the time he reached the Mouse, there was no more food left for him that day :(
Alt Ending 2:
The farmer walked over and plucked up the Pigeon, then walked into his house and announced to his family, “We’ve got pigeon stew for dinner tonight!” :)
