I was away for the week once again due to work. It was tough walking out the door knowing your mother was in the midst of a marathon vomiting session, but fortunately your grandparents were in town to help out.
You’ve developed such a great relationship with your grandparents. Upon opening the front door and seeing them, a smile cracked across your face, your feet started dancing up and down, and you just kept alternating between saying “ye ye” and “grandma”. The last time I had seen you that excited was when you woke up from your nap and saw your new play kitchen.
You and your ye ye probably construct a big train railway at least six times a day, starting from scratch each time. And each of the Brio characters is one of us (I’m the man in the suit, ye ye is the red conductor, you are the green janitor, and your mom is the purple-shirt female), who take turns waiting on the platform and sitting in the train…two of your favorite past times in general.
Then a stomach bug struck your grandma and she’s been laid up in bed for the past two days. And stubborn her kept insisting she’ll get “better by tomorrow”, but it’s been three days now. Hopefully she’ll be back on her feet soon so you two can get back to it!
