Your imagination is a world of its own these days and you really enjoy taking us along the ride. I’m not even sure you view our living room as a living room anymore. It’s very often an end-to-end journey from our house down the elevator to Old St. station through the gate, down the escalator, on the tube, off the tube, up the escalator, through the gate, and finally to the grocery store. Phew.
And when we arrive at the grocery store, which is a food stand that takes up a good chunk of apartment real estate which your godmother purchased for you (without consulting us!), is when I go back to my high school summer job days of acting as a check out clerk. Because I’ll literally be there on my knees ringing you up and assisting you with your shopping…except this time I’m not paid.
After you’ve over-purchased with an entire month’s worth of groceries for one picnic, we’ll walk over to the park to eat it. But it’s very important we all wait for everything to be set up and everyone to have been served their muffins.
Other funny moments of notes:
- You’ve been reliving our daily adventures to the Stratford mall or to the airport through the Brio world train set. Kind of really highlights what you’d like about the actual journey.
- We’ve been sort of preparing you for your trip to HK with me only. But I think you’re actually excited for it because you keep asking if today’s Monday. Though I guess that could also mean you’re confirming you have another day to spend with your mom instead?
- You are a humdinging hummer. Whether it’s the middle of Circus School class when it’s silent except the teacher talking or just chilling out in your buggy, you’re just humming along whatever song you feel like.
